Together with +A, ArMo Design Studio has crafted Third Space as a dynamic and adaptable environment tailored for a collaborative group of creative companies. The design prioritizes flexibility and functionality, allowing the space to cater to various uses, from daily operations to rental opportunities for like-minded businesses and entrepreneurs. With an emphasis on fostering collaboration and innovation, Third Space is an architectural embodiment of community-driven creativity.
The black-and-white theme and recurrent arches throughout the space highlight the historical value of the existing conservation building, which once housed a secondary school during Singapore’s early years. These elements not only pay homage to the building's heritage but also create a timeless aesthetic that bridges past and present, blending modern functionality with a nod to the site's educational legacy.
Third Space offers members access to a variety of workspaces and studios, each meticulously designed to enhance the production of high-quality content across social and digital platforms. The architecture integrates both open and private areas, featuring adaptable sets for product photography, video production, and immersive social media content creation. Modern lighting, soundproofing, and flexible furnishings allow for quick transformations between different uses, making it ideal for producing everything from e-commerce shoots to immersive videos.
The layout of Third Space encourages collaboration and interaction among its users. From open-plan work areas to secluded nooks designed for focus and reflection, every element has been considered to support a diverse range of working styles. The central communal area serves as a hub for conversation, networking, and courses, fostering a sense of belonging and connectivity. Equipped with modular furniture, it can be quickly reconfigured to host events, workshops, and creative meetups, further enhancing the community spirit.
The architecture of Third Space is built with versatility at its core, featuring multi-use zones for pop-up stores, brand launches, and other creative showcases. Studios, designed with high ceilings and customizable layouts, function as podcast rooms, photography and videography sets, and even studio lounges. This flexibility allows creatives to experiment with various formats, ensuring that the space adapts to the evolving needs of its members.
