A father wanted his two daughters and their families to live with him. This sparked the idea of a multi-generational house where the owner could enjoy retirement with his family close by and the younger families have their own space and privacy while reaping the supportive benefits of living with grandparents.

The story of this house starts with a tree. In the garden of this corner plot fronted by two roads, there is a matured, 13-metre-tall Pink Trumpet tree. The scheme prioritised preserving and making it the protagonist in the architecture, hence special care was given during the construction process to minimise damage to it.

Nestled within Singapore’s lush greenery, it offers an experience of tranquility and luxury, capturing the essence of tropical living while incorporating minimalist Japanese aesthetics for a serene and comfortable retreat.
